Damion Vernon: CCTV released of Bridlington man missing since 2014
Damion Vernon visited a TSB branch on the day he disappeared
Police have released CCTV footage of the last sighting of a father-of-two who went missing without trace 10 years ago.
Damion Vernon, from Bridlington, was 32 when he disappeared on 8 December 2014.
His car was later found close to the River Calder in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Humberside Police has now released footage from a TSB bank in Manor Street, Bridlington, taken at around 2.15pm on the day he vanished.
It shows him apparently relaxed while waiting in a queue before approaching the cashier.
Insp Owen Stafford said: "Over the course of the last 10 years our investigation has remained open as we have continued to explore every possible line of enquiry to help in locating Damion.
"In the hope that it may provide officers with new lines of enquiry to locate Damion, now 42 years-old, we are releasing CCTV recovered as a part of our initial investigation launched in 2014.
"Since Damion was reported missing, we have spoken with hundreds of members of the public, collated thousands of hours of CCTV, conducted searches of the River Calder and followed the route Damion took the day before he was reported missing."
Mr Vernon had enjoyed time with his family before he went missing. His youngest daughter, Vaida, was a one-year-old at the time.
He told loved ones he was driving from Bridlington to collect a car in Sheffield. It is thought he travelled via Howden.
A witness saw him walking up an alleyway close to where his Vauxhall Corsa was later found in Wakefield.
His family says, despite mental health issues, his disappearance was out of character.
Mr Vernon's eldest daughter, Courtney, now 23 and with two children of her own, has made repeated appeals since her father went missing
She said her life continues to be affected by her father's disappearance.
"Every good memory I had of my dad - we were really close - it's overshadowed by this agony we've had to go through for ten years," she said.
"He was such a family man. He loved children, he loved being around family. He'd be the most boss granddad. My kids would absolutely adore him."
She added: "If you know anything, just please find it in your heart to speak out - he deserves to be resting in peace, or to be able to come home to his family."
