Volunteers from charities and organisations around Somerset have taken part in a carol concert linked to one hosted by the Princess of Wales.
In total, 15 Together at Christmas events were held around the country, with Taunton Minster's concert among them.
Each guest on the night received a letter from the Princess. In it, Catherine said: "This Carol Service is a heartfelt celebration of every one of you, and a reminder that at Christmas, and throughout the year, we must all shine for each other. Because in times of joy and sadness, we are all each other's light."
Among those performing on the night were pupils from Trull Primary School, who sang two songs.
Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset Ted Allen, who represented the King at the event, said of the them of 'empathy': "It's about looking after each other. When things are tough, just being able to just get support from other people is so important and that's the whole message this evening."
Among the charities represented were the League of Friends Musgrove Park Hospital. President of the group, Clinton Rogers, said: "To involve so many charities locally, including the League of Friends, is a great honour because, yes of course, we support local people and we support people in need. To be recognised for that in a service like this - perfect."
Tracey Khodabandehloo, President of the Rotary Club of Taunton, said: "I think it's a wonderful way of celebrating volunteers within the community and all that they do. It's a fantastic opportunity to come and join together."
The Princess of Wales' 'Together at Christmas' concert will be shown on ITV1 on Christmas eve.
